Artisan Alley & Market

The Studio

A creator-first retail gallery & workshop studio — built for craftsmanship, story, and shared success.

The House

A Gallery Runs on Shared Vision

Artisan Alley & Market is a curated retail gallery and working studio at 128 E. Lancaster Avenue in Downingtown, PA. We operate as a house of resident lines — each a distinct creative voice, each with its own capsule, its own story, and its own edition structure.

Three tiers. Limited runs. In-person energy that digital-only brands can't replicate. Every product on our shelves is a handshake between maker and market — transparent revenue sharing, co-developed collections, and a model that puts craftsmanship first.

The People

The Resident Lines

Every collection is built by named artists with real creative roles. This is who we are.

Loot Cakes

by Mike Maldonado & Kymberly Robinson

Mike Maldonado

Original Concept · Collection Name · Art Direction

Mike Maldonado is the creative and cultural source of Loot Cakes — a pro skateboarder since 1995, a blue-collar hero who never rode fame's coattails, and a man who has spent decades building things with his hands and his instincts. He conceived the collection, named it, and drives its art direction. The Loot Cakes identity is his: Gen X nostalgia, streetwear soul, and the raw energy of East Coast skate culture.

Kymberly Robinson

Original Design · Illustration · Production · Creative Direction

Kymberly takes Mike's creative vision and renders it into fully realized artwork — every original design and illustration in the Loot Cakes collection is hers. She manages full production from finished art to final garment, ensuring the collection's authenticity survives every step of production.

“Real recognizes real.”

Ragamuffin

by Jenn Rivell & Kymberly Robinson

Jenn Rivell

Original Character Concept · Collection Identity

Jenn Rivell created Ragamuffin from a deeply personal place — the character concept, the collection identity, and the raw spirit behind every piece are hers. Ragamuffin is punk-folk, raw beauty, and unapologetically personal. Jenn's world in wearable form.

Kymberly Robinson

Digital Illustration · Design · Production · Creative Direction

Kymberly translates Jenn's original character concepts into fully realized digital illustrations and finished designs, managing production from artwork to final garment with the same precision she applies across the house.

“The scrappy ones always have the best stories.”

Bring The Good Stuff

by Joshua Ruggeri

Joshua Ruggeri

Concept · Design · Creation · Illustration · Collection Curator

Joshua Ruggeri is the sole creative force behind Bring The Good Stuff — concept, design, illustration, and creation are all his. Good-natured goods for people who mean it, designed with intention and released with purpose. Joshua also brings his graphic design expertise to the house as a whole, contributing to the visual language of Artisan Alley & Market beyond his own collection.

“Lead with the good. Let the rest catch up.”

Critical Cut

by Jamie Robinson & Kymberly Robinson

Jamie Robinson

Creator · Content · Design · Gallery Installation

“Critical Cut derives its inspiration from a love of retro gaming mixed with a fascination with medieval fantasy. Designed to blend a bit of a ‘modern mechanical world’ with classic characters and monsters of folklore, Jamie hopes to tap into the imagination of its viewers with a unique twist on familiar themes.”

“Jamie also physically built every installation in the Artisan Alley & Market gallery — all carpentry, fabrication, and experiential design. A musician and artisan, Jamie plays D&D every week.”

Kymberly Robinson

Creative · Production · Product and Design Development

Founder of Artisan Alley & Market. An award-winning graphic designer and mixed media artist deeply rooted in West Chester, Kymberly partners with Jamie on creative direction, product and design development, and full production — bringing Critical Cut from concept to finished collection.

“Every game has a final boss. Wear the one you already defeated.”

Grit With Grace & Manifest Malibu

by Kymberly Robinson

Kymberly Robinson

Design · Art Direction · Founder · Creative Director

Grit With Grace and Manifest Malibu are Kymberly Robinson's personal collections — two creative expressions from the founder who built this house. Grit With Grace speaks to the intersection of struggle and beauty; its collection tagline is “Sharing your story ends the stigma.” Manifest Malibu is the lighter side — sun-soaked, California-dreaming energy from a Philly native who knows warmth is a state of mind.

Kymberly is a graphic designer, mixed media artist, and serial entrepreneur rooted in West Chester, PA. She built Artisan Alley & Market as a permanent home for the artists she believes in. Her longer track record includes building Stratus Interactive (Inc. 5000, Top 40 Under 40) and co-founding Boxcar Brewing Company, which pioneered craft brewing in the region and still has a loyal following today.

  • “Build it authentically. Everything else follows.”
  • “Grit is what got me here, but Grace keeps me going.”
  • “What we create together is the culture. The rest is just noise.”
